Products

Graphite electrodes and nipples

Graphite electrodes and nipples are used for arc steel melting, refining, ferroalloy, submerged-arc furnaces and other electrical thermal equipment. Graphite electrodes are used primarily in electric arc furnace steel manufacturing. Graphite electrodes can provide high levels of electrical conductivity and the capability of sustaining extremely high levels of generated heat. Graphite electrodes are also used in the refinement of steel and similar smelting processes.

We supply our customers with top-grade RP, HP and UHP electrodes within a wide range of diameters, bulk density, electrical resistance, flexural strength and other technical characteristics to satisfy our customers’ technological equipment characteristics. Nipples for electrodes are manufactured using a separate technology that provides a high level of physical and mechanical properties and performance properties.

We control that products are manufactured from the best quality raw materials and we normally trade in graphite electrodes 100% manufactured from needle coke supplied by Phillips 66, Mitsubishi Chemicals Corp., Sojitz Ject Corp., Sumitomo Corp. and others.

Carbon blocks

Carbon blocks are used for lining the bottom, hearth and the lower part of the blast furnace shaft, as well as furnaces for electrical thermal and chemical processes. We trade in standard quality carbon blocks, carbon blocks with higher thermal conductivity, carbon blocks with higher strength characteristics, carbon blocks with higher thermal conductivity and strength characteristics as well as micropore carbon blocks. Configuration, dimensions and tolerances on geometrical dimensions of the blocks are as per approved customer’s drawings.

Bottom blocks

Bottom blocks are used for lining the bottoms of aluminium electrolytic cells. All bottom blocks are manufactured according to customer's drawings, from natural gas- or electro- calcined anthracite with the addition of various amounts of artificial graphite, depending on the customer's requirements, sized by different dimensions and grooved with rectangular, trapezoidal and cylindrical way. Coal tar pitch is used as a binder. The cathode blocks can be made by vibration moulding or extrusion.

The packaging of the cathode blocks complies with international standards for design and environmental friendliness, ensures the safety of products during loading and unloading operations and transportation.

Electrode paste

Electrode paste is used for forming continuous self-baking electrodes (Soderberg electrodes) in electrical thermal furnaces in ferrous, non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industries. Electrode paste is widely used in the production of ferroalloys, calcium carbide, phosphorus, abrasive materials. The main raw materials for the production of electrode mass are natural gas- or electro-calcined anthracite, artificial graphite and coal tar pitch. We supply electrode paste in both cylindrical and briquette forms with the coefficient of flowability set within a range from 1.6 to 2.8 with an accuracy of ± 0.2. The size and shape of electrode paste briquettes depend on the shape of moulds. The electrode paste that is supplied in briquettes is delivered in either bulk or in big bags; electrode paste that is supplied in cylinders is delivered on pallets and in big bags.
